Kohjinsha Dual Screen

The Kohjinsha Dual Screen DZ Series was at one point a concept but it has now somehow managed to get itself up onto retail shelves. The dual screen DZ series laptop packs dual 10.1 inch LED backlit display screens, Athlon Neo 1.6 GHz MV-40 CPU, 1 GB RAM (expandable to 4 GB), ATI Radeon HD 3200, 160 GB of storage, Wi-fi and a 1.3 megapixel web camera.

The latter concept was presented to CAETEC in Japan by Kohjinsha. The prototype is a 10.1 inch netbook.

Just as with Lenovo W700, one screen can be retracted back when not in use. The prototype is thinner than normal and still netbook features are approximately the same.

  • Windows 7
  • 1.6GHz AMD Athlon Neo MV-40
  • Maximum of 4GB RAM
  • 160GB hard disk.

It is interesting how it will affect battery Dual Screen mode.

Kohjinsha did not mention anything about price or estimated date when it will start sales. It remains only to wait and keep track of information gateways for laptops for updates.

Those dual screens will cost you, so be prepared to fork out some dough. How much? It costs about 95,800 Yen (or $1,107) and is available in Japan.
